Happy Anniversary Card, a.k.a "My first attempt at these challenge things"

Here we go, my first attempt at these challenges that I keep reading about!

This card was designed and created for three separate challenges:
The background of the card is silver embossing powder on black card stock. The "cameo" couple was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I searched the internet for a public domain image of the restroom icons, then used Silhouette Studio's trace feature to turn the icons into shapes. I pushed the two shapes together so the man and woman look like they're holding hands. The sentiment was drawn with the Silhouette Cameo using the silver sketch pen. A heart punch and dashed line finish things off nicely.

Happy Anniversary Card

I think my first attempt at the challenges was a success. If nothing else the deadlines caused me to carve out some specific time to craft, which is always a good thing. Hopefully there will be many more challenge entries in my future!

Welcome!

Welcome!

This blog is a place for me to document and share my creative endeavors. Usually that will be handmade cards or simple sewing projects, but some home decor projects, new recipe attempts, or other random craft projects will most likely be scattered throughout. I have no high hopes for this blog, just a simple wish to remember the time, effort, and heart that go into my handiwork. I want to be able to look back and see what I have accomplished and to gain inspiration for future projects. If any of my work inspires you make your own creations then that is just an added bonus!
